We are a collective of professionals and peers newly rising to support the needs of the Mid-Island community. As a new Cultural connection centre, we intend to hold space for multiculturalism, health promotion programming and advocacy.
RISEBRIDGE is comprised of a group of dedicated volunteers and team members who are committed to revitalizing equity and compassion through low-barrier programming and services with priority for our BIPOC and LGBTQ+2 community members.
RISEBRIDGE was inspired to begin through shared lived experiences and challenges in navigating within our professional spaces. Our strong collective of volunteers is determined to combat the severe impacts of racism, disconnect and inequities that currently exist.
We will be offering programming that includes: youth services, family support, cultural education, allyship and advocacy programs, women/men empowerment workshops and harm reduction initiatives. We are also excited to be able to offer art therapy, open mic nights, and events in the park.
We are working collaboratively with many like-minded organizations and professionals to ensure there are short-term tangible offerings to support this community. With your help, our doors will remain open 7 days a week, 12 hours a day as a thriving non-profit. Please join us on this journey to create a Reimagined Mid-Island.
