Rusape's Cricket Ground Fundraiser

The Vimal Devchand Cricket Ground.
Dear Friends and Family,
For the last 4 months, I have committed myself to transforming cricket in Rusape and I need your help! Hope is rare in the small town of Rusape and it begs the question. What do we offer our youth? What sort of futures do we promise them? The painful reality is our youth are grappling with life and turn to the shadows of drugs and alcohol to escape. Yet, I firmly believe that sports can be a lifeline, and cricket, gives them this. With every practice and game we play, it has become the source of hope for so many youngsters in Rusape.
Upon my arrival, proper cricket facilities were non-existent. But with determination and support from friends and Mountaineers cricket, Rusape will have standardised cricket nets for the first time in over 2 decades. And the cement pitch has been revived we are working on covering it with astro-turf. But I need help setting up the cricket ground, I can't do it alone. The £3000 I ask will transform this sleepy town and change these boys' and girls' worlds. I want to give them a taste of what a standard cricket ground should look like.
We're naming the ground after Vimal Devchand, my dear friend whose sudden departure left a void in our lives. It's more than just a name; it's a way to remember his infectious laughter and the way he made every moment brighter.
We need to raise $2350 to cover the costs of the ground and an additional $810 to cover sports scholarships for 3 talented kids whose parents struggle to meet the fees at John Cowie Primary. Moreover, we are actively seeking long-term and corporate sponsors for our ground and scholarship program, and I welcome any connection or support you can offer. Every dollar will be accounted for and I have tried my best to ensure this project is done cost-effectively. Please help me get cricket kick-started in Rusape and give our youth something to look forward to! Any amount is welcome, local donations are encouraged as well! Please get in touch with me if you'd like to donate in cash.
