Hello, my name is Gina. I've created this account in support of my sister Fran.
On July 9, 2022, she was involved in a severe house fire where she lived with her boyfriend Greg and their furbaby Rebel. Greg was diagnosed in 2017 with CMML, a form of Leukemia. As his health was declining, she had quit her job; so that she could be his full-time caregiver.
During the accident, she had to physically pull Greg out of the burning house due to his physical limitations. They both made it to safety, but their dog Rebel was lost in the fire. They were both care flighted to the hospital. She suffered 3rd-degree burns to her arms and legs. Unfortunately, Greg succumbed to his injuries and later died at the hospital. Fran would spend the next three weeks in the burn unit at Parkland Hospital.
The home was destroyed, now leaving her homeless and living with family. Not only did she lose her boyfriend and beloved dog, but she also lost her entire lifetime of possessions, mementos and much more. She also has a long road of physical therapy and mental healing from this tragedy.
A kind and generous person, Fran is always first to offer help to others. We are asking everyone to come together and help Fran start over and rebuild her life. Please join us - 100% of this fundraiser's proceeds go directly to Fran Lubben.
Thank you in advance for your kindness and generosity.
God Bless you.
