Help support us on our path to rebuild Level 42.

My name is Yuri Federman. I am one of the two co-owners of Level 42 Gallery & Studio in the River Arts District of Asheville, NC. I opened Level 42 with one of my best friends of 20 years, Ben Ross, in 2018. Over the years of running 42 together we have hosted countless art shows in our gallery, workshops/classes in our studio, and our studio has been home to a wide variety of glass artists from Asheville and around the US. Level 42 has been our home and a powerful community hub for the flameworking scene here in the South East.
We are reaching out to you all at an absolutely devastating time for our business after we have experienced catastrophic flooding here in WNC. Being directly on the Fench Broad River here in Asheville, our building went almost entirely underwater during the flooding caused by Helene. The river reached a height of 24.67 ft, putting the water all the way to the rafters of our building. Our gallery and studio have been destroyed. Not only have we suffered immense financial loss, and we lost the place that we did business, we have also lost a community hub and a business that helped support hundreds of artists over the years.
To help support us as we work to bring Level 42 back, we are launching this GoFundMe and we are asking for your help. Your contributions of any size will help us in our next steps to rise from this terrible mess and to find our way again. Every donation makes a difference, and we are forever indebted to you all for your help right now. Our goal of $50k for this GoFundMe feels like a daunting number to us, but with your collective efforts this will help us to find stability and to start supporting the glass community once more.
While the challenge of rebuilding what once was will be incredibly difficult, it is our intention to work to rebuild and to come back stronger. All donations will go towards helping us get back to a place where we can support ourselves so that we can sell art and support the artists we love again. Your contribution will go directly towards helping us and our families as we navigate life without our gallery/studio.
We are beyond grateful for your generosity and your support as we start down this new path, and we thank you from the bottom of our hearts for being here with us. It is hard to ask for help, but if there has ever been a time to lean on our community, we believe the time is now.
