Risky Business Ferret Sanctuary Needs Help

Hello We are a Ferret Rescue and Sanctuary located in Homosassa Florida. We service all of central Florida and beyond. We have been self funded for the last 4 years. We have finally taken the necessary steps to become a 501(C)3 non profit. Our status is pending and may take time to become official. We specialize in ferrets that have been abused, have behavioral issues, need lifelong treatment, or just have nowhere else to go. We currently have 21 surrendered ferrets in our care. We do receive funding through adoption. However, we have more ferrets in need of life long medical attention than we have adoptable ferrets. We have personally spent over $20,000 caring for these babies. We just recently took in four that have nowhere else to go. 3 of them are already scheduled to go to the vet to start treatment. We have another one coming this Sunday in need of lifelong medical attention. We are also trying to help another ferret in a similar situation. Any and all money raised goes directly to housing, feeding, are caring for these poor babies. Funds will be used for new cages, including puppy pads, blankets, and hammocks. Litter, daily nutrients including raw prey, approved kibble, and treats. Ferrets in need will receive Deslorelin implants for adrenal disease. Medicine for insulinoma. Flea treatment. And blood work. Some will also need surgery for tumor removal. The list is long. These ferrets are ill through no fault of there own. We are just trying to help as many as we can.
