Rissa, River, and Baloo after house fire

Hi I’m Robin and I’m raising funds for my daughter and granddaughter who woke to a fire in their condo this morning, December 2. Rissa got River out safely but when trying to get her keys and cat she got some smoke inhalation and burns on her hands and arm. She is in the burn unit for at least a day and has recovery ahead of her. She will be unable to work until she has healed enough and we don’t know how long that will be. She is a single mother and receives no support for River. She has no idea what her home looks like or what is salvageable. She will have immediate costs for basics such as shelter, clothing and person care.

The firefighters got there quickly and were able to rescue Baloo, her cat. They sent her to a veterinarian, the cat has smoke inhalation and is on oxygen. She’s been told the bill will be between $3000 to $5000 which she has no way to pay right now.

Any help for them will be greatly appreciated as they deal with the trauma and mess this fire caused. Thank you!
