Rita & Frances Lucero Family Fire Relief

On June 25th at 12:10 AM, my home in Las Vegas, NM where my 94-year-old fragile mother and I live, was engulfed in flames. There were flames consumed in the garage that is attached to the home. The garage is next to my mother's room and I quickly ran to pull her out. My mother is on oxygen and saunters, and thanks to the grace of God, we escaped with no injury.

This devastating house fire caused my mother and me to lose everything, including my car. Now my mother and I do not have a home or car and all we have is the clothing on our backs. This house fire took everything and what we left has smoke or water damage.

We are fortunate to be surrounded by such a supportive and helpful family during this time. Still, we are under tremendous emotional stress and financial need as we begin to rebuild.
