Rita Sorgi's St. Didacus Tuition Assistance

We report with sadness that our former school secretary, Mrs. Rita Sorgi, died on Friday, March 25th after a lengthy illness. Mrs. Sorgi has been associated with St. Didacus School since she moved to San Diego in 1973. All of her children Terry Sorgi Camarata, Cynthia Sorgi Asbury, Chris Sorgi Dean, Alan Sorgi and Julie Sorgi Arico attended and graduated from St. Didacus. She began her work here as secretary in August of 1981, and held that job until her retirement in June of 1999.

 

In addition, she was the mother of our former principal and long-time 3rd grade teacher, Mrs. Christine Dean. She will be greatly missed by both her family and all of us here in the St. Didacus community.

 

A rosary and viewing is on Wednesday from 4:00P to 6:00P at the Chapel of the Bells at El Camino Mortuary in Sorrento Valley. The funeral mass will be held on Thursday at 1:00P at St. Gregory the Great Church in Scripps Ranch followed by interment at El Camino Memorial - Sorrento Valley.
