Rita’s Healing Trip to Italy

Our Mom, Rita, is a shining light in the lives of everyone who knows her. She is a mother of three children, an artist, a teacher, an animal lover, a sister, and a friend to many.

Since 2020, she has also been a breast cancer survivor.

This disease has presented many challenges for Rita over the past four years: countless appointments, scans, and tests, drives to Miami in five-hour traffic, new medications, radiation, chemo, hair loss, and even brain surgery.

Through it all, she has never lost the spark that makes her special. She is always there when we call, and always ready to lend a helping hand to others, despite facing the greatest battle of her life.

To show Rita how much she means to us, we want to give her the adventure of a lifetime: a trip to Italy!

We want to take her to Tuscany to see works of art in Florence, to the rugged Mediterranean coast, and through small villages and ancient ruins that will inspire her as an artist and as the beautiful human she is. Rita has never traveled internationally so this will be her first time leaving the U.S.

Our family has faced many challenges over the years, and now, we are asking our beloved family and friends for help making this trip possible. Cancer has taken a toll on our family, and while the future remains uncertain, we know that this trip will help us all find healing.
