River the Shiba Inu dental surgery costs

Donation protected
River had 11 extractions on 9/5, 2 due to fracture and 9 due to periodontal disease. I was most concerned about her lower right canine that was obviously diseased that progressed within the past year. I had seen our cardiologist (Dr Poad at metro) regarding it and it was agreed that the dental surgery might be too risky. Due to her congenital heart defects she needed extra attention during her dental which involved an anesthesiologist on-site.
River sees a cardiologist and has the following issues:
DIAGNOSIS:
• Pulmonic stenosis (severe, valvular)
• Atrial septal defect (ASD) - bidirectional flow, suspect mostly left-to-right shunting
• Ventricular septal defect (VSD) - suspect left-to-right
• Tricuspid valve dysplasia - severe tricuspid regurgitation
• Mitral valve dysplasia - moderate mitral regurgitation

River does okay with all of her problems and is not in heart failure or any medication for it surprisingly. Her heart and all its problems are in a sensitive equilibrium that I, and her cardiologist at metro vet (Dr. Poad) were very concerned about. It was a catch 22 procedure: the anesthesia could send her into heart failure and the dental disease was not getting any better and could also affect her heart.
So far she’s out of surgery and her face is swollen but she has an appetite. I’m very happy with her outcome but she’s not out of the woods yet as her heart is still sensitive and healing will take some time.
