SUPPORT RIVERSIDE GIRLS SWIM TEAM - MIGHTY TIGERS
OUR LEGACY
Riverside High School Girls Swim has always been a place of sisterhood, honor, unity and fun. For over 30+ years, RUHS Girls Swim has been a strong and vibrant community of water sisters. We were the reigning conference champions for 6 years straight and have created over 20 cheers and have a history of greatness, camaraderie and support. GO TIGERS!
OUR HOPE
Recently, swimming attendance on Milwaukee Public School swim teams has declined. We want to inspire young girls to be a part of the swim team and have a place where they belong and can learn a sport that is good for the body, mind and spirit.
We are in a rebuilding period. Our goal is to help expand the number of people who feel confident in the water in Milwaukee. We have athletes of all different income levels, backgrounds and swim levels and want to be prepared to support each and every one of them. We are a combined swim team and welcome swimmers from Milwaukee High School of the Arts, Golda Meir and Bradley Tech.
Our season starts on August 9th. We want all of the girls to feel ready for practice and competitive meets no matter what their swim level or income status. We are hoping to fundraise through GoFundMe so the girls can focus on swimming and not have to worry about where the money for equipment will come from.
GOAL: Make swimming accessible to all of our girls and prepare them with the equipment they need for a productive, fun and unifying season.

Thank you to all the girls swim alumnae, Head Coach Anne Koller, and Assistant Coach Priscella Smith. Thank you, too to past coaches and all that you have done for the RUHS girls swim legacy. We had 50+ girls swim alumnae who came together quickly and fervently this season to help the team fundraise, volunteered, donated time and money, and sent prayers and cheerleading to the team.
Special thank you to people who helped make the 2021 season possible with their generous contributions and help fundraising.

OUR TEAM VALUES
Resilience: We are resilient humans. When we don’t do as well as we wanted, we get back up and try again. We are not discouraged by failure; we learn from it. We do not let the thoughts, words or actions of others deter us from being activated fully. We build together better. We are the rose that grew from concrete.
Unity: Together, we are one. Together we are strong. We stand for unity within ourselves, our team, our school, our conference, our state, our world.
Honor: We honor our own individual needs and the needs of others. We look out for ourselves as well as the collective whole. We respect each other, our teachers and our coaches and other coaches and swimmers we encounter.
Sisterhood: We are sisters of the water. We laugh together, cry together, bleed together. We stand for each other’s greatness and support each other in our vulnerabilities. We support the best version of ourselves and our sisters.
