RIZZY… The Next Generation

After the loss of Izzy, Tawnya and I have been very blessed by the outpouring of messages and pictures that people have shared. The stories of how Izzy impacted their lives, their families and our community have been very heart warming to our entire family.

Because of the support we’ve received, we decided to find another camel that can continue the legacy that Izzy started. We know that IZZY had a special personality, and we can never replace him, but we feel we should try to continue the joy and special memories that so many families have experienced from having time with Izzy.

After searching throughout the country, as Dromedary camels are not readily available in the Pacific Northwest, we have found the next chapter to continue Izzy’s Legacy of spreading joy, smiles and education. Thanks to Spectrum Ranch in Pukwana, South Dakota, we are working on purchasing a baby boy that we will name Rizzy the Camel in honor of Izzy. He was born November 11, 2023, and will be ready to come to his new home in May. His father is white and his mother is tan color. Rizzy is also white. We are so excited to be a part of this next chapter with the community and believe that God uses our animals to bless people with hope, joy and even healing in hearts.

Of course, with all this excitement, comes the sobering part of needing to cover the expenses of bringing Rizzy to our community, which is what this campaign is about. We have been able to cover the deposit for Rizzy, and now need your help to raise the money to finalize the purchase and to get him here. We can travel to pick Rizzy up once he’s weaned from his mother, but it is about an 18 hour drive each way. We are asking for donations of any amounts and would appreciate having this reposted thru your social media sites. We are also offering to highlight the family, or business names on Rizzy’s trailer as donors or sponsors. We are offering 6 different levels for sponsorship. Annual, permanent and other options are available upon request.

Annual Sponsorship:

Tier 1. Key Sponsor = $2500 or higher. Dedicated side and the largest signage on the trailer being seen the most wherever we’re traveling, parked at events or home. (details upon request.)

Tier 2. Rizzy Sponsor= $1500- $2499 gets you 1 of 3 trailer spots. On Rizzy’s sponsor side of the trailer there are 3 corners available. (details upon request.)

Tier 3. Rizzy’s 6 Club= $1000-$1499 (depending on size) family or business names will have a dedicated spot on the back trailer door/ramp covering Rizzy as we travel down the road you will always be seen. (details upon request.)

One Time Sponsorships

Tier 4. Kissed By a Camel Club= $500-$999 Your family or business names will be listed on a Individual “Kissed by a Camel Club” flag/banner. (characters and spaces per donation based on number of donors and space available.)

Tier 5. “Rizzy Fan Club”= $100-$499. Your name listed under “Rizzy Fan Club” banner on the trailer for life. (Characters TBD based on space available and earliest contributors will have prime spots)

Tier 6. “Friends of Rizzy”= $25-$99. Enroll you in the “Friends of Rizzy” newsletter & shout outs, where you will get updates and special promotions for all those wishing to stay in touch with Rizzy.

Izzy’s contribution to the community, besides bringing so many smiles and happiness to people, was to draw visitors to the area, helping local businesses. Izzy brought attention to different events such as fund raisers like The Walla Walla Duck Derby, Toys for Tots, Child Abuse Prevention and several church nativities throughout Washington and Oregon, to name a few. Izzy loved visiting nursing homes and rehabilitation facilities bringing encouragement, hope and joy. Izzy helped high-light events such as Little Rascals Rodeos along with visiting schools, colleges and universities throughout the Pacific Northwest.

Tawnya and I look forward to continuing and hopefully expanding these types of activities with Rizzy, thanks to your support and donations.
