RJAH Paediatric Team Sponsored Walk - Cader Idris

Do you want to join us in making a difference? We are raising money in aid of THE LEAGUE OF FRIENDS AT THE ROBERT JONES & AGNES HUNT ORTHOPAEDIC HOSPITAL and every donation will help.

The League of Friends was set up in 1961 and since then has raised in excess of £20 million to improve and maintain an exemplary quality of patient care at the Robert Jones and Agnes Hunt Orthopaedic Hospital NHS Foundation Trust (RJAH).

Over the years The League of Friends have provided vital equipment for children within the theatre/recovery unit and Children's ward. Examples of these are; Sensory ceiling lights, Child friendly wall art, Buzzy Bee cannulation distraction device, iPads and plastic cars for children to travel to theatre in. Coming into hospital can be extremely daunting for anyone, especially children. The support we have had from The League of Friends has meant we have been able to reduce children's fear and anxieties by providing patients with a child friendly environment.

We would now like to give something back! As a team we would like to raise some money by taking on the challenge of walking up Cader Idris. At 893 m (2,930 ft), Cader Idris is one of the highest mountains in southern Eryri (Snowdonia). It’s a challenging peak to conquer, but we can definitely do it!

Thank you in advance for any contribution you can give to this cause.
