Ronan Jack Donahue Scholarship Fund

As originally introduced at our 20th Anniversary Reunion in November, 2006, the Bostonians of Boston College have established a service scholarship to honor the memory of Ronan Jack Donahue, the son of Dominique Dallmayr and John Donahue ‘92, taken from this life prematurely in October, 2006.
The Ronan Jack Donahue Service Scholarship will assist current Bostonian members as they work to improve their communities through personal outreach programs or by working with national/international service organizations. The Bostonians are Boston College’s first music group to initiate a scholarship program and are proud to once again set the standard and support the University’s tradition of service to others.
The Ronan Jack Donahue Service Scholarship will be awarded on an application basis to the Bostonian whose service project best fits the fund’s criteria. Winning projects will be those that work creatively to reach goals, aid at-risk communities and promote self-reliance, creativity, cross-cultural understanding and responsible community action.
Previous recipients of the Ronan Jack Donahue Service Scholarship include Christopher Huang '07, Justin Maccaro '09, Arielle Eagan '12 and Maverick Lydon Shay '19.
Moving forward, our goal is to increase the amount of the scholarship and award it at the end of the fall semester each year, likely encouraging Bostonians to consider a service trip during the spring semester of that school year.
