Around two billion people on Earth lack access to safe drinking water due to geographic challenges and a lack of infrastructure. The sources they use to access and transport water result in waterborne illnesses, child mortality, and physical strain. Access to clean water is also difficult due to natural disasters.

WaterSafe by FPS is designed to ensure the safe transportation, storage and dispensing of water. This product is tailored to meet the needs of end users and NGOs while reducing the carbon footprint compared to other often used solutions.

In Machakos and Kilifi County (in Kenya), 98% of the respondents reported back and neck pains due to the use of jerry cans. Of these, over 67% reported a significant reduction of pain after they started using the WaterSafe backpacks. (See the left graph)

The quality of water affects children health. Despite consuming nutritional supplements, contaminated water causes waterborne illnesses, such as diarrheas. After using WaterSafe, research showed a 14% increase of the mid-upper arm circumference (MUAC). This indicates that children health has been dramatically improved. (See the right graph)

Together with our NGO partner, "Partners for Care", we have successfully distributed over 70,000 WaterSafe in Kenya and impacted over 2.3 million lives.
