Hello! I am Grace (Marigrace) Francis, and I study Studio Art and Graphic Design at Oakland University in Rochester, Michigan. This summer I have the opportunity to further my studies in Italy!
I have always felt a pull towards new, unknown, and exciting adventures. I have friends all over the globe that have urged me to travel, and now, I am taking that plunge.
Due to financial hardships and being one of five children, I haven't had very many opportunities to travel. I've generally been in the Midwest my whole life, but it's high time that changes. This summer I will be spending about 10 weeks in Europe; most of that time I will be taking a drawing class in Siena, Italy with a few weeks of independent travel towards the end.
I am beyond excited, and working hard to make the money I'll be needing, but it isn't cheap. Between tuition, airfare, food, housing, application fees, and so on the costs are really adding up.
That being said, any contributions I could get would be very much appreciated. I understand that financially not everyone is in a position to give, and that's totally cool! I wish everyone the best in their situation. But if you have any money or good tidings to spare, I would be forever grateful!
