Tail Amputation Surgery
Donation protected
Ira is my 11 1/2 years old cat, I've had her since she was 6 weeks old. She's been by my side through ups and downs/highs and lows. Basically an emotional support animal.
About 8 weeks ago I noticed a growth on her tail. It wasn't bothering her so I let it be. 2 weeks ago she started licking it. It broke open and rapidly and progressively got worse. Diagnosed as an ulcerated Tumor, it needs removed. It will continue to grow and the risk of infection is high. Amputation is the best option for removal and recovery.
She is otherwise healthy her bloodwork and exam was good. She is still her normal self, eating, drinking and enjoying watching the birds and napping with me during the day. Euthanasia just wouldn't be fair.
Id really appreciate support from friends and family to make this less of a burden for me and make this happen so she can live a long, full healthy life. Thank you.
