Help for Arthur

Arthur is the bestest dog of all the bestest dogs in all the world. You can catch him on the “paw prints” calendar which comes out this May. He’s Mr December, so one could say he is as hot as a fireman

Sadly, Arthur has recently been diagnosed with osteosarcoma, which is bone cancer. It is an aggressive cancer and the most painful of all cancers. His mommy needs to have his left hind leg amputated; it is very painful for him and since the cancer is eating his leg bone from the inside out, it has become quite brittle. One slip and fall and his leg could break. We are not sure what his financial needs are as of yet. We also want to do more extensive testing to see where he’s at. If chemo is recommended, we may want to look into that without the stress of wondering how we can possibly pay for it; however, his mom is researching clinical trials, which will not be completely free either.

Arthur is pit mix. He was found roaming the streets of Atlanta before he was brought to the shelter by animal control. When found, he had scars on his beautiful face, giardia, a growth had to be removed from his leg, and he was heart-worm positive. But this was not a deal breaker for his new adopter; she fell in love with him at first glance. She has since said he is the reason she gets out of bed in the morning and not just because Arthur has to pee. He is the most sweet, gentle, nerdy dog you will ever meet. This is why all the bitches love him ❤️

If you are willing and able to financially help this sweet boy, it would be greatly appreciated. His mom loves him so so so much; we think she loves him more than pizza (which says a lot!!!). Please help Arthur
