Abby's Cancer Crushers

Abigail Mirza is a vivacious 41 year old woman. A warrior in every sense of the word. She was the Director at Achieve Beyond, an organization dedicated to helping children with Autism and other disabled children receive therapies.
On November 26, 2012 she went in to receive routine medical care and came home with the devastating news that she had breast cancer. Her paternal grandmother had died from the same cancer years before.
With 3 young boys to care for, Abigail immediately elected for a double mastectomy, and chemotherapy regimen, while continuing to work.
Once completed, she believed she was on the road to remission.
Until July 7, 2015 when she became ill again, and received even more heartbreaking news. Her cancer had metastasized to her bones, liver, and spleen.
Unable to fathom leaving her boys without a mommy, she again decided to fight. Fight for her life and for her son's futures.
Today, she is undergoing an chemotherapy cocktail targeted specifically at her cancer.
At this time, she is left unable to continue working.
Fortunately, her insurance is able to cover most of the cost. She is receiving no government assistance, and only relying on her husband as the family's source of income.
This go fund me is started in hopes that the money raised can help her pay for experimental treatments and alternative approaches in treating her cancer which would not be covered or reimbursed through insurance.The funds will also be allocated to purchase organic groceries, for herself and children, and to help cover the cost of holistic treatments which are not covered by insurance. Abi is trying to regain strength and continue the long battle ahead. Please contribute anything you can, however small, we can ALL help and make a difference in her quality of life.
