I'm Daniel Beresford, and as a fundraiser for Ronald McDonald House Wagga , I'm taking part in the Crocodile Trophy mountain bike event held in Far North Queensland in October.

This ride is over 8 days, 650km and 13,000m of elevation!

Nine days from the jungle in Cairns to the Atherton Tableland with bush single tracks, to Irvinebank in the unique Australian Outback. Finish via Skybury Coffee Plantation and Wetherby Station on the breath-takingly beautiful Four Mile Beach in Port Douglas. The race is over 8 days 650km with 13,000m of climbing.

With this race I would like to raise as much money I can for Ronald McDonald House Wagga. With your help we can make a difference in a Child's and Family's life. Riding this race will be one of the most challenging races I've ever competed in and will bring tough days that will push my body to the limit.

But all this is nothing compared to what some children and thier families go through each day, where the fight for a better and healthy life is so much harder and challenging than what I'll be faced with. So please get behind my pledge to give a special child a chance for a better life.

Ronald McDonald House Wagga Wagga was established to help Riverina and South West Slopes families with sick or injured children and expectant mothers receiving treatment at Wagga Wagga Hospital, Calvary Hospital, and Calvary Day Procedures Centre and attending medical appointments. The House provides a home away from home for families so they stay together.

My wife and I went through a similar fight with our eldest daughter who contracted Kawasaki's Disease! She might have lost her life if it weren't for the amazing people at the children's hospital. With your help we can make a difference and support the local Wagga House which provides so much assistance to these families.

Any amount you can donate would be appreciated, whether it's an amount per kilometre, or per stage, or just a straight out dollar amount.

As you know, Ronald McDonald House exists to provide a safe home for parents and their sick kids when they need to visit a hospital, and without the help of volunteers and donations, the House would have a hard time providing such a great service.

All funds raised will benefit our LOCAL Ronald McDonald House in Wagga Wagga.
