RMM Grade 3 World Bagpipe Championship Trip 2023

Have you ever heard a traditional Pipe Band? If not, it’s a sight and sound to behold, and when played at a very high level is both exciting and brilliant. The Robert Malcolm Memorial Grade 3 Pipe Band, based out of Burnaby, British Columbia, Canada, is the "Junior Band" for the Simon Fraser University Pipe Band. Most of the pipers and drummers in this band are teenagers and have dedicated years of their young lives to their pipe band. They will be heading to Glasgow, Scotland in August, 2023 to compete in the World Pipe Band Championships. This is the culmination of many years of hard work and dedication, hampered significantly by the global pandemic. However, the band has persevered and stayed together, strong and committed to walking out onto Glasgow Green next year and playing their absolute best at the Worlds.

Taking a large, young pipe band to Scotland is a very expensive undertaking. We are busy fundraising to help get these youngsters to Scotland in August. The funds we generate will go to flights, accommodations, buses, new kilts, etc.
