Paris needs surgery .

Hi my name is Susanna I’m a childhood friend of Stacie . Her beautiful Paris needs our help she needs a surgery (IVDD hemilaminectomy and vertebral fusion.) She has been through so much in her short 5 years she has more love to give her family.

Those that have followed Paris' journey going back to September of 2021 know that she is an immense part of my life. She has loyally stayed by my side, and I hers, through many of trials and tribulations, even at this present time in my life.

Frenchies are prone to spinal cord issues. Paris has a condition which was triggered from a fall she took called, IVDD. Intervertebral disc disorder. It is basically a equivalent to a disc herniation for a human that affects the adjacent nerves (like sciatica) which in turn affects her ability walk on her hind legs, leading to loss of sensation and ultimately, paralysis. IVDD is a neurological trauma.

As of now, surgery would be her only option, but it is not possible for me at this current time. (The last surgery cost me 11k, and I feel as though I have failed her . I am trying to make her as comfortable as possible on pain meds, prednisone and gabapentin, but the downfall of these meds is the risk of her organs shutting down.

I have been laying by her bedside, hand feeding her and giving her fluids through a medicine plunger.

My heart is breaking knowing that if these meds do not work, that a decision will need to be made. I want to be selfish. I want her to be by my side another 10 years, but reality of it is, it's not a good quality of life for her.

Any donations made will go directly to Paris' vet bills, medications, surgery costs and animal hospital care post op.
