RN battling Long Covid, Love finds a way

*** An update — due to your generosity we have almost met the goal for this bucket list trip. We are so incredibly grateful. Any additional giving will go toward travel costs. Shellie would love to fly Rebecca (we’ve been given medical clearance) instead of drive 15 hours both ways.
At a recent specialist visit — a spinal tap and testing for neurological disorders in the next step for a treatment plan that can maybe restore some quality of life.

Meet Shellie & Rebecca. Hospice Chaplain & RN. Moms of 6 kids (ages 9-17). They are people dedicated to building community, living authentically, and speaking compassionately & courageously to show that Love wins. Love finds a way.
She needs a few days, we need a few days, where life is about more than her disease, where she isn’t defined by her illness and all of her limitations. We need less grief and more joy. The only way forward is through.
This draining medical journey has amounted to $4K of medical bills (yes, even with an RN's insurance!). As a result, they cancelled their anniversary cruise planned for this October. And she continually worries about basic bills instead of resting as she navigates her illness. Stories like these are all too familiar.
Will you help us reclaim some joy for their anniversary & celebrate that Love finds a way? What would be manageable health/travel wise is a few nights at Myrtle Beach - a place that's long been on Rebecca's bucket list! This is a *surprise!!* Please don't post online but you are welcome to share via text or messenger, and help be their community in a tangible way, if you're able. If many of us pitch in just a bit we can make this dream a reality.
Peace in the journey,
