RN helping the elder and ones in need Pandemic NY

I have been in healthcare for 30+ years. I have never seen such despair. There are thousands in need and I am looking to do my part to help. I have a 9 year old to set an example for as well as the need to help others that can only be justified by a call from my faith in God. I have been able to Donate food, Personal Protective Equipment, Clothing thru some of my coworkers, colleages, family and friends and avoid unnecessary visits to our currently overloaded Hospitals and Emergency Departments by doing Nursing Assessments on the Elderly ( as well as the ones in need at this moment) in the NY area (mainly Queens, Brooklyn, Bronx and expanding) via remote access to ensure they have enough medications and if they do not, call their Doctors , get what they need and ensure they can remain safely inside. There are MANY people going into the Emergency Room when it can be prevented. It is now time to reach out to you. Not only to ask for your help but to offer it as well. Donations will be used to continue to buy food, personal protective equipment , gas, pharmacy and store runs for those in need , and to allow me to do Emergency Room visit prevention whenever possible. Emergency Room visit prevention: Those in need will be interviewed,  assessed and along with their providers, review medications, medical history and ensure that not only they have food to eat but ensure medications are readily available to them. Referral to services located in their nearby area. Leave important phone numbers on a board for easy access. Helping them create and "emergency to go bag" in the even the Emergency Department becomes their last option or if they need to leave due to a disaster, big or small,  they can grab and go where they need to be. A special thanks to God, my son for giving me the inspiration for showing him that we need to do the right thing, Arlene N, Norma N, Joy V. Hemang P and others for the initial help to keep this momentum going. In just a few days, 173 elder and in need have been helped.  If you need help and because of the overloaded state and city agencies causing a delayed response please reach out to me. Every minute counts! I am one of those trying to help front line. With your help, there is no telling to what can be accomplished!  I am also requesting a donation of a Truck or big SUV  that can handle large quantities of Food and PPE since I can only do so much with a pick up truck and car. I am also seeking additional PPE( Gloves, masks, face shields, sanitizers and soap). Of course, anyone willing to volunteer their time please communicate with me. PLEASE TAKE A MOMENT TO PRAY NOT JUST FOR THOSE AFFECTED BY THIS CRISIS BUT FOR THOSE HEALTHCARE WORKERS ON THE FRONT LINE EVERYDAY RISKING THEIR LIVES WHILE WE BEAT THIS.
