RNLI - DIY Raft Race
Hi there, we are a group that is trying to raise support, and of course some money in aid of The RNLI and every donation no matter how big or small will help.
For anyone who needs a bit of info, The RNLI is a registered charity that saves lives at sea. It provides, on call, a 24-hour lifeboat search and rescue service to 100 miles out from the coast of the United Kingdom and Republic of Ireland and a beach lifeguard service on over 200 beaches in England. However, The RNLI continues to rely on voluntary contributions and legacies for its income.
So what we are doing is entering the annual RNLI Fun Day Raft Race (think a soap box race on water), the raft needs to be constructed, water worthy and ultimately able to hold 6 lads skirting middle age in less than peak condition ready for a 200 yard sprint across open water to ultimate victory this July....and hopefully not sink on the start line.
So, if you can, we please ask for any support you can lend as all the proceeds raised will go direct to the charity itself and maintain a super important service that keeps people safe and looked after on our beaches and in the sea.
Thank you so much in advance !!
