Hi, my name is Araceli McCrea. I wanted to start a gofundme for my dad. He has been a landscaper for many years now, serving the coachella valley country clubs and businesses. My dad was a victim of a hate crime on June 3rd 2022 in Palm Springs while at work. A racist attacked my dad both verbally and physically. The perpetrator called my dad and his coworkers wetbacks, that him and his Mexican mafia should go back to mexico. He went as far as throwing tortillas at my dad and his coworkers. He hit my dad in the head causing a brain hemmorage. My dad is now on medication to prevent seizures. The reason I started the gofundme is my dad is the provider for him and my mother who is on disability.He cannot go back to work right now and I DO NOT want him to have to go back working where he has had nothing but incidents like this. I would love for my dad who has worked his whole life doing hard labor to just be able to stay home for a while and not have to worry about finances. I would make sure anything raised goes to him and my mother. Thank you to all who have reached out. Your kind words are much appreciated.
