Road to European Championships 2022

My name is Anvi Pandit. I am 15 years old, and I am an Elite karate athlete.  

Recently I have been selected for the Scottish national team to represent Scotland in the Junior European Karate Championships held in Prague, the Czech Republic, in June 2022. I am currently training intensively six days a week, improving my performance. With this funding, I hope to achieve my dreams of becoming a European Champion and a future professional karate athlete.

I have been passionate about karate since the age of 5. Competing in karate at a professional level has always been my dream. I train four times a week under the previous head coach of the Scottish Karate National team, Sensei Gerry Fleming, at my club, Eastbank Karate, and the Scottish National Kumite Squad.

I have been competing in regional, national and international competitions in various European countries, e.g. Slovakia, Italy, Germany, Denmark etc., for over nine years now. 

My most significant achievements include the Scottish International champion, Scottish Grand Prix champion, Swedish International Champion, and medals in the British and Irish international championships. I have also participated in the K1 Youth League in Venice, Italy, one of the top competitions in karate.
