Road to recovery for Ronnie Sigmon
Donation protected
Many have reached out who will be unable to attend a benefit we are having for Ronnie Sigmon on July 31st, so I created this for those who like to make a donation.
Sure many of you may know Ronnie but for those who don’t here is a little insight into his current situation.
In 2017 Ronnie started to experience some issues with his leg. After some time passed in 2018 the pain became so immense he was seen by a Dr and they discovered he had a blood clot.
They placed stents which helped but only for a short time.
The arteries clogged up again so Drs went back in and were able to get the blood flowing.
Unfortunately that only lasted for a short 6 months.
2021 Drs decided it was best to operate again, they did a bypass procedure and were able to get blood flowing once again. Fast forward to 2022 they were clogged again. They attempted to bypass once again but were unsuccessful. Drs tried every option, blood thinners etc with no success. Ronnie’s leg had barely enough blood flow to keep his foot alive. Drs were left with no other option but to Amputate his lower leg about 4 inches below the knee.
3 weeks later Ronnie’s leg was not healing and became infected and the skin started to die.
On Monday 7/11/2022 Ronnie underwent an additional surgery and they had to amputate more of Ronnie’s leg. The surgery went well and he is home recovering.
Ronnie was the primary source of income in their household, Julie lost her job during Covid and at this point has to be home to assist Ronnie. Coworkers have donated vacation time but money is running out. We thought this would be a good way to raise some money to help them out with day to day expenses & bills. Anyone who knows Ronnie know he is an exceptionally hard worker and has been all his life. Him not being able to provide for his family has been a struggle for him as anyone can imagine !
Any donation big or small will be greatly appreciated and will make huge difference for Ronnie & Julie. Thanks in advance
