Road To Recovery- Jan Galej
Donation protected
On July 28th, 2019, my father was struck by a vehicle. Jan Galej a kind, loving, and beloved father of two is fighting for his life. After being rushed to Elmhurst Hospital it was determined he suffered multiple injuries and is in critical condition. He is currently suffering from a multitude of fractured bones and ribs, consequently resulting in an inability to breathe on his own and a lacerated liver. Upon arrival to Elmhurst Hospital he was rushed into emergency surgery to stop the internal bleeding caused by his lacerated liver. The shock his body faced from this accident has now caused his kidneys to stop functioning properly. He has undergone two surgeries so far in regards to his injuries while receiving doses of dialysis to help his kidneys function, and still has upcoming surgeries in order to fully close his abdomen.
I, Claudia Galej his daughter and current household provider have been through more than you can imagine. It is imperative that I am prepared for the worst case scenario. My journey through life has not been an easy one, losing my mother 5 years ago to lung cancer and consequently a sister to a chronic brain disorder. After my mother's death, my sister was diagnosed as a paranoid schizophrenic and it has been a continuous battle to stay afloat and live a stable and normal life since then. Any funds contributed will greatly help my sister and I with any medical expenses and will provide us with some financial stability. The burden of losing one parent has already placed a great amount of suffering and pain upon our family and seeing my father in this state is all the more devastating. So far it has been a tough journey and will continue to be. All I ask is to please find it in your hearts to help my beloved father.
Any donations and prayers made to our family are greatly appreciated.
