I was born in the Finger Lakes upstate New York in the 60's. I was able to attend the University earning a degree in Social work along with a masters in Clinical counseling. In 2002, I received my Ph.D degree in Psychology with a minor in Biblical studies.
In 1993, I started out serving a small community in Eastern North Carolina as a Pastor in a mission Church that I had founded. I initiated and developed a drug and alcohol program called Steeping Stones; along with three half way houses; two for men and one for a women a total of 20 residents for the first year program.
Several of our graduates from the program secured great jobs; such as working for Snyder trucking company, obtained barberr license and open his own business, gained a contractor license, and other attended Bible College in North Carolina; just a few of the success stories.
I had served as a clinical psychologist for almost 20 years; working in a wide variety of mental health issues and substance abuse, in two hospitals, along of providing marriage counseling in my private practice.
Also, I had the opportunity of working with some clinical trial studies with Jansen Pharmaceutical working with severe clinical depression patients.
Shorty after recovering for COVID in 2020 God spoke to my heart about a new ministry called Roadside Ministry.
I was giving a vision of all the hundreds and thousands of people that travel our interstates day in and out; especially the truck driving family, in the way that I believe they had been forgotten during the time of the pandemic.
In March 2022, I started a grassroots ministry called Roadside Ministry. I had constructed a portable chapel on a 4×8 travel Trailer being determined to go to the highways and byways to deliver the Gospel message to all the travelers, focusing my attention to the forgetting truck drivers.
I usually parked my chapel at the rest stops and provided truck drivers words of encouragement, and hope. I prayed with them and offered inspirational literature, coffee, pastries, water, and sometimes breakfast or hotdogs to start a conversation; motivating them after listening to their stories of loneliness, worries, and tiredness. Some of them had told me about the long schedules traveling day and night, and been unable to spend sometime with their family.
For the last 10 months, Roadside Ministry is posting Inspirational encouraging messages daily on YouTube, and Instagram with more than a hundred followers that request prayer and counseling.
We are planning a crusade traveling Interstate 40 from Wilmington North Carolina to Los Angeles California, stopping twice a day in the rest stops along the interstate continuing our mission.
