Roatán, Honduras Volunteer Trip

Hey everyone! In May I will be heading to Roatán, Honduras for a month as an intern for Global Healing, a non-profit that works to ensure equitable access to high-quality healthcare in developing countries. I will be volunteering at the Roatán Volunteer Pediatric Clinic every day, fulfilling patient registration and triage duties, and working alongside the amazing doctors and staff to provide the best healthcare possible to the children on the island. Additionally, I will be able to work on a research project on the island, most likely on a topic related to maternal/child health (I will keep this page updated as this aspect develops more).

As many of you know, I am a currently studying Public Health and Spanish at Tulane University, with goals of going to medical school and pursuing a career in global health. I am absolutely ecstatic to have the opportunity to work with such an amazing organization and clinic that runs on the basis of sustainability and equity in health care, and to further my study and love of the Spanish language.
