Roatan Medical Mission Trip
Donation protected
Dear Friends and Family,
As some of you may know, we are traveling on a medical mission trip back to Roatán, Honduras on March 12th with a team of medical students, nurses and doctors. For the past ten years, the members of a group from our school have traveled to Clínica Esperanza in Honduras to work with the underserved residents of the Roatán community. Clínica Esperanza, which was founded in 2001 and is run entirely on donations, works to provide much-needed medical assistance the people of Roatán. They provide full healthcare, including labs and medications needed, for the equivalent of $5. This is a very important resource in the community; however due to recent increased demand, donations are more important than ever to keep the clinic running.
During our trip we will additionally provide community health screenings in the local neighborhoods each day, and spend time at a children’s outreach program called Sol Foundation.
Each year we bring boxes full of medical supplies and medications to donate to the clinic and use at our health screenings. Additionally we bring toys, shoes, and books to give to the children at Sol Foundation. If you would like to help us in making this trip successful, any donations would be welcomed and appreciated. Donations will be used in purchasing supplies, medication, toys, books, and shoes for the people of Roatán. Any funds left over from donations for our trip will be given directly to Clínica Esperanza. Additionally, there is a link below to the Clínica Esperanza website where you can read about the amazing healthcare and education this clinic is providing!
On behalf of our entire medical team, we thank you so much for all your support. We hope that through your donations we can positively impact the community of Roatán!
