Rob and Debra Mistretta Need Our Help

Donation protected
Hi, I'm Theresa and asking for a little help for Robert and Debra. I am writing to you and sharing with you all about what's going on in the life of Robert Mistretta. A few years back Rob had a neck surgery. During his surgery he had several screws and plates put in along with vertebrates taken out. A few years later he wasn't understanding why he was getting such severe headaches and starting to pass out and drop to the floor. One day he was out with his friend for dinner and Rob passed out once again. He was taken by ambulance to a local hospital and it was then that they discovered that one of the screws that was put in during his surgery had broken in half. It was a malfunction of the screw. So they had to go back in and perform another surgery. The surgery went well. He was not in any pain, everything was all good until 3 weeks later. Debbie asked him how he was feeling and he was burning up with fever and in excruciating pain. So they rushed him to the hospital once again and after several tests found that he had an abscess on his spinal cord. While he was in the emergency room they were doing several tests on his legs. They would lift up his legs only to find that they would just drop. So the doctor had to perform once again another emergency surgery. He had to remove the abscess. At that time Rob was sepsis, had MRSA and a staph infection in his spinal cord. Unfortunately this has left Robert paralyzed from the rib cage down. He spent three weeks in ICU with several different complications. Robert never gave up on his faith and prayed every day. Along with the rest of us. Robert had suffered a heart attack, has had wound vacs, colostomy bags, urostomy bags, and infection after infection. It has been a long road for him and Debra…she has not been able to work because of running back and forth to the hospitals needing to be by his sid. The bills are starting to pile up. I'm reaching out on behalf of them Robert and Deborah to see if everybody can give a little to help out. It's okay if you can't. I know everybody's struggling right now with this wonderful economy we are living in…we'll be grateful for prayers as well. We all know the power of prayer. We thank you in advance and we love you all and I will keep you posted on Robert's condition.
