Rob Logsdon’s Funeral Expenses
Donation protected
As a lot of people know by now, our dad was officially diagnosed with small cell lung cancer on February 18th. It has taken over most of his right lung. He’s gotten progressively worse since then with getting pneumonia on top of the lung cancer.
On March 3rd he was intubated and remains intubated today until they can get the pneumonia cleared. He has since been started on chemo. The doctors have tapped his lungs to get the fluid off of them. Currently his ventilator is on 65% and his o2 levels, heart rate, and blood pressure are stable with that. He has had transfusions to help with his immune system and scans nearly every day of his lungs so that they can record progress or any changes.
My sister and I are wanting to raise funds for medical expenses that are going to be coming, gas for us traveling every day to just go and sit with him, taking him to appointments when he is discharged from the ICU, and hopefully pay on some of his bills so that when he goes home the last thing he has to worry about is making sure his bills are paid. When he is discharged he will have to travel to Altoona every day to begin radiation treatment.
Any and all donations are appreciated!! If you can’t donate, please just pray and share this gofundme!
Update: 3/18/2023
As we keep getting set back after set back with dad, any donation not used for his home bills or medical expenses will be saved and used for any funeral/memorial services if/when they are needed. We really appreciate all of the generous donations so far, it means so much to my sister and I. Truth be told, at this point we really don’t know if he will get to go home. And if he does make it home, we have no idea how long we will have with him. It breaks my heart to even have to be thinking about a funeral for my own father.
Please continue to share this fundraiser and pray. I am scheduled to have my baby in just 52 days, I’m not working since all of this, and Bayly isn’t working very much either so that we can spend as much time in the hospital with dad as possible.
