Rob Robins Kicks Cancer Fundraiser

Hi my name is Trish and I'm Rob's oldest daughter. My dad has always been a hard working 75+ hours a week as a blue collar man to provide his family with the best possible life he could. Just weeks after we buried my Grandfather due to Cancer my Dad was Diagnosed with Stage 3 Colon cancer.

He had surgery to remove the tumor which ended up being the size of a soft ball and unfortunately was fused to his ureters leaving him with severe complications. After a 10 day hospital stay they inserted nephrostomy tubes (tubes that come out of his back attached to urine bags). Which have been an on going issue and caused 3 additional hospital stays with septic blood infections and he is no where near the end yet.

He's been going thru Chemo, which has drastically effected his way of life. The surgeons are still trying to find a way to fix the mess as its extremely complicated and could result in losing his kidneys if anything goes wrong. His next big surgery will be at London University Hospital 2 hours from home so this would also help with costs related to the surgery and travel.

This man has paid into EI, CPP since he was 15 years old. EI only provides 26 weeks of sickness coverage which has been used up and his only other option at this moment is welfare (which wont cover much in todays economy). He isn't the type of person to ask for a hand out and is usually the one to help others out and give the shirt off his back.
