Please join us in celebrating the life of Robb Pilkington and supporting his beautiful wife, Andrea, in her time of loss. Robb passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, July 2, 2020. Robb was plagued by a stroke last year, undergoing 9+ hours of brain surgery by some of the best surgeons in the world. His tenacity and grit would prove to be valuable traits as he fought his way back to recovery. Sadly, Robb lost his battle with COVID-19 which he contracted during his recovery.
Robb was an amazing person, loving husband and father of five, U.S. Navy veteran and an instructor to 1000's of first responders from across the nation and beyond. Robb loved his country and after completing Bachelors and Masters degrees joined the Naval Officer Program at the age of 26. Not surprisingly, Robb graduated in the top 3% of his class at Officer Candidate School in Newport, Rhode Island. He thrived in the Navy for several years, ultimately reaching the rank of Commander.
Robb’s passionate interest in education and helping others improve were among his many outstanding attributes. After concluding military service, Robb continued to serve others at all levels of government. Throughout his life, Robb continually educated himself, achieving a PhD (ABD), and passed his knowledge and skills on to others. For over 35 years while pursuing his advanced education, Robb simultaneously trained vast numbers of people from organizations responsible for Chemical, Biological, Radiological, Nuclear and Explosive (CBRNE)/Weapons of Mass Destruction(WMD) incident response and management. He was an active online professor with Trident University, and an instructor for Columbia University in Missouri, as well as Counter Terrorism Operations Support (CTOS).
If you ever had the pleasure of riding the ferry between Lake Havasu City (Arizona) and Havasu Landing (California), Robb may have very well been the lead deckhand on your voyage. Among his many talents, Robb's love for boating and the water guided him to working on the ferry. Prior to his stroke, Robb passed his test for Captain's licensure and was eager to take on the new responsibilities that entailed. His true love for people, their safety and the United States of America was very evident! No doubt, the more you came to know Robb, the more his passion for life became increasingly apparent.
Please help us to soften the blow of Andrea’s loss by standing with us in our campaign to memorialize our fellow family-member, friend and colleague, Robb Pilkington! 100% of this campaign's proceeds will be donated to Andrea to assist with her needs, including Robb's medical expenses.
In Robb's memory, thank you for your compassion and generosity!
