Robbie Bunk...Together Let's Help Him
Donation protected
Hello, thank you for taking a moment to read about my best friend, Robbie (Rob) Bunk.
Let me tell you a little bit about Robbie. He is a father and a wonderful friend. He was a paramedic most of his life. Many of you know Robbie for his sense of humor, quick wit, song choices and trivia knowledge. Robbie is humble and kind, a great listener and encourager.
What you may not know is that in 2006 Robbie was diagnosed with MS. Last summer he started dealing with hypersensitivity, ear ringing and decreased night vision. In January 2021, Robbie started to get ill rapidly. Within weeks he went from walking on his own to being in a wheelchair.
On February 22, 2021 Robbie ended up at the ER and was immediately admitted to the hospital where he stayed seven nights as they corrected a bleeder, removed a lot of fluid, and stabilized his kidneys. Unfortunately, they are unable to correct his liver…he has end stage liver cirrhosis and was discharged to home hospice.
UPDATE: Rob was under home hospice care from 3/1-3/24. I was blessed to be alone with him, holding his hand, as he passed away peacefully at home on March 24, 2021. I am taking comfort that he is no longer in pain.
Friends have asked how they can help…here is how.
UPDATE: Robbie’s journey here on earth ended on March 24, however, his care and comfort was of the utmost importance. Being retired, on a fixed income added stress on top of everything else he was dealing with. Together we can make a difference and help Robbie during this unthinkable time. Please consider contributing to his end of life expenses; also share the link, as every prayer, kind word and donation is appreciated.
