Hello! My name is Brenna and I am helping raise money for a local small business owner and his beautiful family!

Robbie owns the best barbecue restaurant in North Dakota, York’s Barbecue Pit, and right now Robbie is out of work due to a knee injury which turned into sepsis.

Add us to your prayer chain if you have a sec. My recovery has taken an unfortunate turn. My knee was doing AMAZING all the way until it wasn't. Friday afternoon, out of the blue it got really stiff and swollen. It was kind of red and angry looking and I had to cut out early as the surgery pain grew unbearable. I got off my feet the rest of the day but got no relief. At 430 am my knee woke me up, out of a dead sleep, and had broken open between the stitches. A ton of fluid was coming out so, as advised by the nurses in our family, rushed to the ER. At the ER I was hooked up to IV antibiotics, and prescribed another to treat a possible infection, with instruction to have Bone and Joint look at it Monday at my 2 week follow up. Well, the fluid draining continued throughout the weekend and through the antibiotics. So much so that bone and joint took one look at it and declared me a medical emergency. They took a needle to the swelling and drained 40 cc's of yellow liquid from deep inside my knee. They haven't gotten the cultures back, but are treating it as sepsis. They told me to clear my schedule and admitted me to the hospital in Bismarck. I will have emergency surgery later today to clean everything out and to check viability of my grafts. Might possibly have to start over...Oh Joy! But yeah, other than that! Everything is all peaches!

He has sense had an addition surgery and is currently still in the hospital. On top of being a business owner Robbie is also a father of three and a husband to his incredibly strong wife who is now managing everything in his absence. This money will help with medical bills and other expenses during this time!
