Robby - Medical Fund for ongoing Diabetes

Robby has just been diagnosed with Type 1 and Type 2 diabetes.  He is currently still in the ICU at Moses Taylor Hospital.  Due to them making just enough money to not qualify for state insurance and the premiums higher than they could afford, they do not currently have medical insurance.  We are starting this fundraiser for them to help assists with any hospital bills and if any money is remaining, it would be used for his follow up appointments, and medicine he will be required to purchase monthly to manage this disease.  They have not asked for any help, but as his family & friends we have offered to start this for both of them to help cover some of the huge expenses to come over the next few months.  Jake has been best friends with Robby since they were in grade school.  Robby is our oldest sons Godfather, and we want to help take care of them the best that we can during this tough time.

Post from Liz, Robby's wife: I normally don't like to let people know what's going on in our personal lives on social media but we both are in need of everyone's thoughts and prayers. Our life from here on out will be a transformation. All our dreams and goals are on a hold. As we went to put a deposit on a house tuesday night, that we have been working so hard these years to accomplish, we were struck with a shock of a lifetime Thursday as were checked into the ICU for Ketoacidosis type 1 and Type 2. The doctors are so baffled of this unique condition and we are still trying to figure out complete diagnosis. We have been battling to get his sugar and acidosis levels to balance. It is undetermined of when we can come home. Our prayers are in need for us both are uninsured due to the extreme financial burden of just simply affording it. Our minds bodies and spirits are so broken. In the end though he is ALIVE! They said if we would have waited any longer he could of went into a coma or DIE! He is saved. We have a second chance and we have each other. There is no life without you baby! I love you soo much we will get through anything in life together!
