Robert and Lisa Brookens

Hi,

My name is Jamie Moody and I am fundraising for my parents Robert and Lisa Brookens. For those of you who do not know them well, over the past few years they have both had worsening health issues and they are on disability. My dad was taken by ambulance this week to St. Vincent’s Jacksonville and had to have 2 procedures. He is recovering and we hope he goes home soon. He will have a lot of follow up appointments and some medical bills following this. They are on a set income so this type of unexpected event is hard to account for. My parents live about an hour from Jacksonville, where the hospital and doctors are. Their current car is not dependable enough for that trip so they are currently borrowing a car from a friend or relying on family to take them in for appointments. We are hoping to use anything not spent on medical bills to get them a more dependable vehicle to get to doctors appointments.

My parents have spent their lives always helping others and teaching us to do the same. Any help for them now would be greatly appreciated.
