Robert Arroyo's Medical Costs

Dear friends and family,
We are reaching out with a heavy heart for our dad, Robert Arroyo. He was diagnosed with myelofibrosis four years ago which is a form of leukemia. He has had a positive outlook throughout the process and as is his spirit, he is fighting hard. If you know Robert, he is not a quitter. He is also one of the most generous, hard-working people you will ever meet - as a son, father, uncle, brother, cousin, and friend, he has been there for all of us over the years. He has a big heart and always happy to be a blessing to others.
Over the 4th of July, all six of his children made the trip home to Ohio to celebrate his 70th birthday which would be the first time we were all together since his beloved wife joined God in heaven in 2015. Unfortunately, we spend the reunion week in the hospital with him because he had a severe case of pneumonia. He felt as if he was dying, coughing up blood, losing weight and was at the mercy of his hard-working tending physicians and nurses.
The great news is that he has found a new doctor who has re-diagnosed him with myelodysplastic syndromes (MDS - click here to learn more about MDS ) which is not as severe as myelofibrosis and is not cancer - praise God! We know that this is something we can overcome together with the proper treatment program in place but need to raise the funds to be able to see it all the way through. Because this treatment is not covered by insurance, the estimated cost is $40,000 over the next couple of years. We have already started the program and have seen improvement. Any contribution will be greatly appreciated. Please keep Robert in your prayers.
