Update 4/24/24
Hi everyone, Rob reached out and told me he need's to raise $50,000 dollars to enter a rehab program to learn to walk again.
Since Rob was released from the rehab facility he has not been able to regain basic functions such as walking. The only solution is an aggressive Rehab treatment to help get back on his feet.
Rob appreciates all that you have done and anything you can do now to help him get back to moving around and be the Rob we all know and love.
We all want to help fundraise for Robert Phillips, AKA "Big Rob". Big Rob is a fixture in his son JoJo's life as he transitions from a stand out high school athlete at Sierra Canyon to incoming freshman at BYU this Fall.
On Tuesday March 7th at the Sierra Canyon basketball game, “Big Rob” suffered a severe and life threatening stroke. He was rushed to the hospital and it was uncertain if our friend would make it through the night. Rob is a strong man and always available to help anyone in need, and for that reason he has been blessed with what has begun as the healing process. Rob was placed on a ventilator and Thursday was taken off, which was a first step and good sign. However, he has a long road to recovery ahead. As someone in the construction business, he will not be able to perform work duties as he spends time in the hospital trying to recover and return to "normal". We hope and pray for his full recovery.
Rob has always been the type of person to assist others with no expectations and never asks for anything from anyone. With that said, on behalf of Rob and his family we want to share that Rob can now use all of our help and support. If you have ever had the pleasure of meeting this man, you know what an incredible person he is. Anything to help Rob is a blessing and will help him focus on his recovery and getting back to the "Big Rob" who everyone knows.
On behalf of Robert and the entire Phillips Family, thank you all for the support, prayers and well wishes.
