UPDATE: Today Rob went to U of M and received his treatment plan. He will start 5 rounds of chemotherapy to buy him time until a Bone Marrow Transplant Donor can be found. At this time the transplant is going to be his best chance. Please keep Rob in your thoughts.

My name is Stephany and I’m writing this on behalf of my stepfather, Rob Brannon and my mom Kelly.

Why I'm fundraising

Recently, after numerous tests including a bone marrow biopsy, Rob received the news that he has MDS/AML (Leukemia) due to a TP53 genetic mutation. Rob was taken off work on January 5th indefinitely due to no longer having any white blood cells making it impossible to fight if even the common cold. He does not have Short Term Disability and will be facing an extended hospital stay at U of M. During this time they are going to be without months of income and will be unable to keep up on their mortgage, life expenses, additional medical bills and travel expenses.

The impact of Support

Rob has worked within the automotive and Trucking industry the majority of his life. He receives countless calls a day from people seeking his advice and expertise. Let’s give to Rob the support and love that he has given out so freely to others. Him and my mom currently have guardianship of one of their grandchildren. Rob’s income plays a big factor in the day to day life and bills as they are a two income house that depends on both incomes.

We are planning a benefit in the coming months as well. If you wish to help the family in any other way, please reach out!
