Robert Brown, Jr. Memorial Fund

Donation protected
The many friends of Robert have put this together as a way to help support his family during this time of need.  Money raised will all be given to Robert's wife, Cheryl, to assist her with expenses.

Robert passed away on Monday January 2, 2017 after a brief illness.

Robert Brown Jr born 11/26/1958  .  A US Army veteran,  he came to Children's National as a Special Police Officer in 2002.  Robert served as a patrol officer at the main campus as well as several off campus locations during his tenure.  Robert served  with pride and dignity, always willing to help or assist anyone that came along.  He loved to talk and you knew when he was around, you could hear him from a mile or 2 and you would say that’ s Brown!  He was organized and meticulous with the task at hand and would have it no other way.  When Robert was assigned to a patrol, he would lock everything up in his path, even bathroom doors.  Officer Brown took pride in taining rookie officers and was instrumental in their development.

Robert Brown Jr. was a man of character, a husband, a father, a granddad, an uncle, a brother, a friend and most of all a gentleman, he got the job done!

His wife told me the other day, on his last hours all he wanted to do was his patrols, telling her he had to check the elevators, make sure things were working and do his rounds.

Well Robert, it was an honor to have worked with you and we are grateful for all that you taught us.  Officer R. Brown- your work is done, you can close out your patrols, called in 10-8 (completed). You have been hired by the Lord! May your soul rest in peace, we love you man and you are missed!

On behalf of Robert's co-workers, friends, and family we thank you for your support.
