Robert Casey Dobson

Hi, my name is Tiffany and I am trying to raise money to help with the expenses related to the funeral for my late brother-in-law, Robert Casey Dobson.

Casey was more than a brother-in-law to me; he was, indeed, my brother. He and my sister, Ashley, had been together since their sophomore year in high school. I've known that goofy guy since I was 14 years old so he's been in my life as a brother, a friend and a protector of my family for 19 years. Casey moved in with us not long after they got together and it's fair to say that my parents helped raise him. My brother and I became siblings to him and he became our brother. Growing up into adulthood, Casey's been there for all of us every step of the way. We've laughed, cried, joked around, gone on adventures, drank ourselves into oblivion. Casey gave my family the greatest gift of all almost 4 years ago when he and my sister announced that they were finally having a baby after 10 years of trying and unsuccessful fertility treatments. Alyessia Monroe Dobson changed his life on September 24th, 2020 and she has been the most precious thing in his world ever since.

On December 7th, 2023, Casey was tragically taken from us at the young age of 35. Casey passed peacefully in his sleep. This has been one of the hardest things that I have ever experienced with my family, the loss of such a beautiful and impactful soul. I never imagined that I would ever see my sister, my best friend, have her world collapse around her and become both a widow and a single mom at the young age of 34. As if this tragedy isn't enough to bare, my sister has been a stay-at-home mom since the birth of my niece so she does not have any income and her only means of transportation is a truck that needs significant and costly repairs.

I am trying my hardest to raise money to address the biggest and most uncomfortable elephant in the room that is in the form of money for the funeral expenses. It is difficult to even write this during a time when I understand most people have a financial plight of some kind of their own and with the added pressure of the holiday season. My sister will now have her first Christmas without her soulmate and my niece will have her first Christmas without her daddy in a matter of days. Christmas aside, this will be the one and only time to allow my sister and all of Casey's friends and family to say goodbye in a way that can hopefully bring them some solace. I am accepting the limitations of what I can do to support my family in this time and graciously asking for any support that can help my sister process this tragedy and feel and work through this grief without the added stress of how she is going to pay for her husband's funeral or support her child.
