Hey Everyone,
Thanks for taking the time to read this today. There are no words for the sorrow and pain we are all feeling after losing Robert. I think we are all in shock and still processing that he is no longer with us. It was just over 6 months ago we all learned of Rob's cancer diagnosis. Unphased by the grim prognosis and armed with the support of his loving wife Crystal, and his amazing mother Lory, Rob began an aggressive treatment. With a determination, positivity, and sense of humor that only Rob had, he fought valiantly often making jokes along the way. Crystal quit her job to care for Robert full time. She was at his side throughout all of the decisions, treatments, and hospitalizations. She held his hand and comforted him, day and night, until he lost the battle on May 24th.

We never have the time we think we have, and few have loved and cherished that time as much as Robert did. As we work through our emotions, The Cox Family is facing many challenges ahead with Robert gone. It is with great hope we can make some small piece of this easier during this difficult time. I thank you in advance for donating whatever you can to my best friend's family. Also, Fuck Cancer.

Robert Ford Cox Jr., 42, a 5th-generation Texan, was born in Houston. Even though he ended up in California, he liked to say he retained his dual-citizenship. He graduated from North High School in Torrance, California in 1998. He went on to attend Los Angeles Harbor College and proudly participated in student government. He became highly skilled in sarcasm, debate, and was a superb BBQ grill master. He loved baseball and was a talented poet/songwriter.
He discovered the love of his life, Crystal (Perez) Cox, in 2006 and they’ve been a team ever since. Together, they moved to Texas and then back to California to begin their married life. Robert and Crystal brought two beautiful girls into the world: Victoria (9) and Charlotte (6).
Besides Crystal and the girls, Robert is survived by legions of loving friends and family members, including his mother, Lory Traylor England; maternal grandmother Phyllis Jorgensen Earl; and several uncles, aunts, and cousins in both Texas and California. Robert was preceded in death by his sister, Rachel Marie Cox (1982-2014) and his father, Robert Ford Cox Sr. (1954-2016).
