Robert Fitzpatrick Memorial Fund

It is with deep sorrow that we inform you of the passing of our dear friend Robert Fitzpatrick.
Robert was a faithful friend, a devoted father, and had one of the biggest hearts you could find. He was the longtime Secretary of the Newton Democratic City Committee and the Chair of the Ward 2 Democratic Committee, where he touched the lives of many of us, and worked to further the causes he believed in - social justice, economic equality, and equity for all people. He cared deeply about our city and our country - but most of all about those who felt left out or left behind. He also served the city of Newton as a member of the Washington Street Liaison Committee, as a founding leader of Progressive Newton, and as a volunteer for countless local, state, and national campaigns.
Robert would want us to implore you to do everything you can in these final weeks to restore dignity and promote equity in our country. We ask that in lieu of flowers, you do everything you can to help us elect Joe Biden as the next President of the United States. Robert is survived by his wife, Neysha Gonzalez and his wonderful daughter, Amelia, his father, Richard, uncle, Mike, brother, David and sister, Elizabeth.
Those who knew him know he loved nothing more on this earth than his 4 year old daughter, Amelia, so in his memory we are raising funds for her future education and care.
Robert's presence in our lives and community with be forever missed.
Thank you,
Claudia & Bryan Barash, and Susan Davidoff
