Hi, everyone! I am posting this on behalf of my wonderful and faith-filled husband, Robert who is a wonderful son, brother and father. Four years ago he was diagnosed with a rare autoimmune disease called Eosinophilic Fascitis that the doctors believe he got during his deployment to Afghanistan. Roberts's condition causes chronic swelling and tightening of the skin and connective tissues and he is in constant pain. He has a very hard time walking and moving around because of this. Through these last four years, we have been to several different doctors throughout Texas and Oklahoma with no one knowing how to help. We recently had an appointment with the mayo clinic in Flordia where they informed us Robert also has another rare autoimmune disease, Scleroderma. There is no cure for either disease. They recommended Robert start receiving experimental infusions and that he will need to make frequent trips down to the Mayo Clinic to receive full care. Due to the pain and all these appointments, Robert has been missing lots of work. We do not know what the future holds but we do know he is facing a long road ahead and any way you can help is appreciated. Most of all please pray for Robert and his healing.
