My name is Shannon Rivera and I am doing this fundraiser for my best friend Kira, and her family. She recently lost her father and I am doing this on her and the familys behalf. "Through the years, Robert H. Birdsall had many nicknames. Some called him Bob, Bobby, Bird, and Bird Man. My brothers and I called him Dad. Our Dad was born in 1962 and joined the Army in 1980. He married our mother, Kim, in 1983. He was a hard working man and to say that he loved hunting would be an understatement. Any chance he got to go hunting or fishing he took in a heartbeat. He loved being outdoors in general. Even when he couldn't hunt anymore, you could find him sitting outside watching the neighborhood drama unfold across the street. Our Dad lost his ability to see 5 years ago due to diabetes and his health began to decline after that. He went into kidney failure and ended up losing both of his legs in 2022 within months of each other. He then went into liver failure. Over the last few years, he faced so many life altering medical challenges and was in and out of hospitals. It was extremely hard for him, as it was on our mother, Kim. She was his primary caregiver through it all. Our father passed away at home in his sleep on March 19th, 2024. My family and I would appreciate any contributions to help us lay our father to rest. We thank you from the bottom of our hearts."
