Dr. Robert Lloyd (Zedek), lived a life of passion devoted to spiritual growth, unity and knowledge. He exercised this passion within his Gnostic community through the books that he wrote and the volume of songs that he wrote, sang and played on his guitar. He was always ministering and encouraging others to access their divine potential.
On January 21, 2021, Robert passed away at the age of 69, after a brief but difficult struggle with COVID. He is survived by his loving wife Shalom, his Gnostic family, appreciative clients and cherished friends.
Many of you have reached out and asked how you can help during this time. Know that your kindness, prayers, and well wishes are much appreciated as we navigate through these difficult times.
While brief, Zedek's battle with COVID required several visits to the hospital, and ultimately, a lengthy stay culminating in the ICU. We kindly ask, if you are able, to donate funds towards the funeral and medical expenses Shalom is now unexpectedly faced with.
Robert was born in Cambridge, MA to Robert Lloyd and Mary Colosimo on June 17, 1951. While a young boy, they moved to California to experience a different life. Early in his adult life he acquired a Bachelor’s degree in Philosophy, and later achieved a Master’s degree in Marriage and Family therapy, and a Doctorate degree in Depth Psychology from Pacifica Graduate Institute. He was practicing as a licensed Marriage and Family therapist up to his death on January 21, 2021. He believed in the power of myth as expressed by Joseph Campbell's statement, "myths represent the inward experience of humans all over the world", thus unifying our human experience. He encouraged integration of all our parts, the dark and the light, the masculine and feminine. He also encouraged people to act on their own values to find meaning and purpose in life.
